As minors, by law children do not have autonomy or the right to make decisions on their own or for themselves in any known jurisdiction of the world. Instead their adult caregivers, including parents, social workers, teachers, youth workers and others are vested with that authority, depending on the circumstances.
In the midst of plenty, many children go hungry, live in poor housing without services such as water, good environmental and above all, they grow without education.
This is not just because of lack of resources, but also because of negligence and discrimination from the parents, guardians and government, and they are unwilling to do something about it. This is not an unfortunate reality of life, it is a shocking Human Rights scandal.
